How to Add a Watermark to an Image

  1. Drag and drop your photo into the upload area, or click to browse.
  2. Add a text watermark with custom font, color and rotation, or upload your own logo image.
  3. Pick a corner position, tile the watermark repeatedly, lay it diagonally, or click AI Smart Position to auto-place it in the least busy area.
  4. Click Download to save the watermarked image as a PNG.

Is the watermark tool free?

Yes, completely free with no signup, no watermark on the watermark tool itself, and no usage limits.

Can I use my own logo as a watermark?

Yes. Switch to the Logo Watermark tab and upload any image — a PNG with a transparent background works best so only the logo shape appears.

Can I make the watermark repeat across the whole image?

Yes. Set Mode to Tile to repeat the watermark in a grid, or Diagonal to repeat it at an angle across the full image — both make it much harder to crop out.

What does AI Smart Position do?

It scans the image for the area with the least visual detail (lowest contrast/variance) and places the watermark there automatically, so it stays visible without covering an important part of the photo.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. The watermark is drawn entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded anywhere.
