Tips for Clean Cutouts
The AI model separates the main subject from its background, so the quality of the result depends a lot on the photo you start with. These habits give the cleanest edges:
- Use a clear subject. One obvious person, product or object works best. Busy scenes with several overlapping subjects are harder to cut out.
- Look for contrast. A subject that differs in color and brightness from its background gives sharper edges than one that blends in.
- Keep the photo sharp and well lit. Blur and heavy shadows make edges, hair and fur look soft or patchy.
- Mind the file size. Images are limited to 4MB. If yours is larger, shrink it first with the image compressor or the resize tool. You rarely need more than about 2000 px for a cutout.
What to do with the transparent PNG
